Livestock Education

    Livestock Education

There are many educational events to help youth learn more about their 4-H livestock project.

    2018 Livestock Workshops

The Jr. Livestock Ambassadors are offering monthly county-wide livestock group activities. These activities are a great opportunity for everyone to participate and learn various topics about the livestock project.

    Show Pig Selection Clinic

The Weber County 4-H Jr. Livestock Ambassadors would like to invite all 4-H members and families to attend the Nutrition Clinic on Tuesday, March 20th at the Weber County 4-H Office at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Earl Cole, Nutritionist for Cache Commodities.

    Jr. Livestock Bowl Practices

The Jr. Livestock Bowl practices will be held every Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the 4-H office. Even if you can't attend the entire time, you are still invited to attend.

    Jr. Livestock Judging Practices

4-H youth who are interested in livestock judging need to email Joe Giordano at giordanojf@gmail.com with your name, age, email address, and phone number so you can be added to the invites to the practice sessions.

Joe will be sending out bi-weekly tasks, practice times, and locations for those interested in participating in livestock judging.

You can email Joe with questions (see email address above), or call him at 801-695-6372.

To participate in any of the junior livestock activities youth MUST be currently enrolled (with fees paid) in 4-H for the current 4-H year (Oct. 2017 - Sep. 2018). Call the 4-H office at 801-399-8202 if you have any questions.
