Sponsor:  This national contest is sponsored by the American Beekeeping Federation, Inc.

Date:  The essay must be submitted to the Weber County 4-H Office by February 10, 2009.

Registration Deadline:  No pre-registration required to participate in the contest.

Eligibility:  3rd-12th Grade

Team or Individual: Individual only.

Description:   Youth write a 750- 1,000 word essay on the assigned topic, "The Dance Language of Bees."

Rules:  Please read and follow the national guidelines for this contest. 

Awards:  This is a national contest.  One essay will be selected to represent Utah in the national contest.  The national winner will receive:

• 1st Place - $750
• 2nd Place - $500 
• 3rd Place - $250
